Layout 'Capture' for Lindy's Stamp Gang

 

 

Here is my new layout, based on the December color challenge at Lindy's Stamp Gang

Don't you just love that color combination! I would like to enter my layout for this challenge.

 

 

 

My little girl was born in november 2009, and the day after she was born, it started snowing...Because of that memory, I was inspired to use her baby picture in combination with these colors...

This is how I created the background:

 

I started with adding clear gesso on the whole paper (this way the inks don't get soaked up by the paper) and let it air dry.

Next I applied heavy white gesso with my palette knife and a stencil.

Again let air dry.

 

Then I started with my Lindy's starburst sprays 

First applying Sea Grass Green, spraying extra water with a mister bottle to spread the inks around on the paper, and used a cloth to take away some inks here and there.

Repeat the same steps with the next colors: Ponderosa Pines Olive, Midnight Rendezvous Raven and Peony Scarlet Red

I used a heattool to speed up the drying process.

 

My next step was using a stamp (raindrops) and Lindy's embossing powder Midnight Gold on the left side and at the top of the page.

 

When my background was ready, I taped it to another (grey/black coloured) page, and sewed the edges together.

 

I applied photo, branches, flowers and other embellishments, and the last step was dripping some alcohol ink (gold) on the page.

Layout 'Remember' for Scrap around the World

 

Here it is, my layout for the final and last challenge at Scrap around the World 

Challenge December 2015 (moodboard created by Valia Katzaki)

 

 

It is with great sadness I witnessed the writing of Helen Tilbury that Scrap around the World has come to an end...I wanted to create a tribute-layout for this month, because SATW has given me so much this year...

 

 The title is 'Remember' but it means: Always remember beautiful moments, and those moments I got here at Scrap around the World. The most sweet, talented ladies commented on my layouts, and encouraged me to develope myself as a scrapper. Thank you Helen, for the faith you have in me and the joy you gave me with your amazeballs comments! Being on the Wall of Fame at SATW is the most honourable place to be as a scrapper (in my opinion) and with a grateful heart I can say I had that honour!

 

I want to thank all the ladies form the Design Team from SATW as well, you girls gave me such lovely and kinds words, it made me blush and being humble and jump up and down from joy as well....

 

Helen, I know the reason behind your decesion and I want to give you my best. Hope you will get a lovely new home...Hugs X

 

I really will miss the beautiful moodboards from SATW. They bring out the best in me and challenge me to do my absolute best in creating a page that fits the moodboard perfectly....

Here is my new layout, inspired by the colorful moodboard from Lindy's Stamp Gang November Challenge 

I would like to enter this layout for the challenge.

 

 

I used embossing powder Orbit Olive Gold (I stamped some circles and embossed them, unfortunately you can't see it very well on the picture) and starbust spray

Fuzzy navel peach (I sprayed my chipboard pieces with it)

Guest designer at Scrap around the World

 

I was asked to be a guest designer at Scrap around the World for the November challenge

The moodboard is so very beautiful. Soft and cosy winter. I loved creating a page with this moodboard.

 

 

I created my page by first spraying white ink on the whole page, to create a snowy effect.

I used light paste mixed with mica powder 'pale silver' and a stencil to create twinkling effects in the background. The pearls I added make the page sparkle even more. I used blue ink here and there on my page and I embossed my chippies with blue shimmering embossing powder. Last but not least some splatters with white and blue ink.

Capture magical memories (cherish every day)

 

Here is my new layout, inspired by this amazing, magical moodboard from the November challenge # 36 'Believe in magic' at 13@rts

 

 

I was immediately in love with this moodboard.

I really love those sparkles, that magical light in the darkness.

It remembered me the day I took the picture that I have used on the layout.

It was near my house, I was walking with my daughter and there it was, such a magical ray of sunlight between the trees. I was thankful for bringing my camera, so I could capture this beautiful element from nature...

 

My layout is called: Capture magical memories, cherish every day, because we can see and feel magic every day, just by looking at nature's beauty, or in my case, having the magical privilege of being a mother and raising my beautiful daughter...
