Colorful tags *Lindy's and Stampotique collaboration month*

Hi everybody!

I created these two beautiful tags for Lindy's and Stampotique collaboration month.
This week's Stampotique designers challenge is 'single layer'.

So I decided to use one of my favorite techniques to create the background with lovely Lindy's starburst sprays and I stamped the images and text stamps with Lindy's embossing powder

Altered art project

Hi everybody!

Here is my creation for this months gorgeous, earthy, rusty

I hope you'll join us this month!

I was also inspired by the April moodboard from Berry71bleu
I would like to enter my project for this challenge

I started with covering an old piece of package paper with graphite paste and sprinkled some tiny art stones on it.
When it was dry, I added a thick layer of clear crackle varnish over it, with my palette knife.
A night of drying, and the next morning I had these gorgeous crackles!

I added my chipboard pieces and art pebbles with 3d gel, and let it dry for some time.
Meanwhile I painted the flowers with black gesso, and let them also dry.

When all was dry, I covered the whole project with black gesso.
And then... the fun started!

First came a layer of Lindy's Stamp Gang spray Gossamer Gold
I dried it with the heattool.

I started adding color with the Dusty in Colour paints, dabbering them gently on the chipboard pieces and flowers.

Next I added soft shimmer with Finnabair waxes

I tried to create some rust effect with a little bit of the rust effect paste from Finnabair too.

And last but not least, I stamped my new Tim Holtz butterfly images, and embossed them with Lindy's Stamp Gang Midnight Bronze embossing powder

My favourite things... new challenge at 7 Dots Studio

The new challenge is up and running on the blog from 7 Dots Studio.
The theme is: My favourite things.

I made a mixed media piece, with all my favourite art supplies. It is called ‘believe’ and it is made to remind myself to never give up, be myself and stay strong.

About my favourite art supplies: first of all that is of course the gorgeous paper from 7 Dots Studio.
I painted  the paper with a layer of clear gesso first, then I added some sparkling paints in the corners of the paper.

I used many different stamps and stencils with black and white gesso. I added layer after layer.
I finished with dry brushing some Finnabair vintage golden wax, this way the frame and the texture on the paper, get a gorgeous golden shimmer. As a last step I glued down the word stickers on the sides when the paper was framed.

I would like to enter my mixed media piece for the doodle hearts challenge at scrapki-wyzwaniowo

Altered heart

Hi everybody,

Today I would like to show you my altered heart.
I found the heart (it's from wood) at a store last week and I immediately had ideas for it.

I started with drawing the heart on 12 x 12 inch paper from Cotton Candy Dreams collection
Then I used hex stencil with white crackle paste on the paper.

I added clear crackle varnish on the sides of the wooden heart, and when it was dry and crackled, I brushed a layer of white gesso over it.

When that layer was also dry, I started spraying with some spray in the colors from the paper. I added as much layers as I wanted and dried it with the heattool. Then I used some opal magic wax on the sides to give it that extra bit of shimmer.

I glued down the paper in the heart, and started building from the center, the stamped text on a piece of paper, layered it up with tags, flowers, die cuts and straws.

I would like to enter my project for the April 'make it Prima' challenge

Exhibit A - King of the Old World

Meet Exhibit A
My patina, rusted flying lion from the old world...

The lion is a metal embellishment from Scrap Unlimited which was patiently waiting for the perfect project...and yes, this is the perfect moment to give the King of the Old World the best presentation he can get...

The Relics & Artifacts rising spirit III wings were also waiting for the perfect moment. I have had them in my hands many times, but everytime I wanted to add it to a project, I felt like I had to wait, and I am glad I did!

I have given the wings a little bit of extra, by adding the little stars with Swarovski Crystals on it, to emphasize them in their beauty and elegance.

I have used the lovely patina and rust effect pastes from Finnabair, and added shine with the new metallique waxes aged brass and rich copper.

Thank you for visiting!

'Dream' black and white layout for MTW

Hi everybody,

The April challenge at More Than Words is up and running!
And we have a spectacular challenge for you.

This challenge inspired ideas in my mind immediately.

I wanted to use circles from the middle and black spray ink. I bought this gorgeous mask as soon as I saw it as it was exactly what I was looking for.
The picture of the statue angel centered in the middle was part of my idea too. She represents to me a life where anything is possible, and DREAMS can come true. Just follow the journey with an open mind and heart and you will learn so many valuable lessons and life experiences.

My layout is BLACK & WHITE + teal which I chose because it is my favorite. I wanted to give the extra colour a subtle role to emphasize the angel in its beauty and elegance.
