Today, tomorrow, always (be inspired)

Here is my new layout, inspired by the colorful moodboard from Lindy's Stamp Gang November Challenge
I would like to enter this layout for the challenge.

I used embossing powder Orbit Olive Gold (I stamped some circles and embossed them, unfortunately you can't see it very well on the picture) and starbust spray
Fuzzy navel peach (I sprayed my chipboard pieces with it)

Guest designer at Scrap around the World

I was asked to be a guest designer at Scrap around the World for the November challenge
The moodboard is so very beautiful. Soft and cosy winter. I loved creating a page with this moodboard.

I created my page by first spraying white ink on the whole page, to create a snowy effect.
I used light paste mixed with mica powder 'pale silver' and a stencil to create twinkling effects in the background. The pearls I added make the page sparkle even more. I used blue ink here and there on my page and I embossed my chippies with blue shimmering embossing powder. Last but not least some splatters with white and blue ink.

Capture magical memories (cherish every day)

Here is my new layout, inspired by this amazing, magical moodboard from the November challenge # 36 'Believe in magic' at 13@rts

I was immediately in love with this moodboard.
I really love those sparkles, that magical light in the darkness.
It remembered me the day I took the picture that I have used on the layout.
It was near my house, I was walking with my daughter and there it was, such a magical ray of sunlight between the trees. I was thankful for bringing my camera, so I could capture this beautiful element from nature...

My layout is called: Capture magical memories, cherish every day, because we can see and feel magic every day, just by looking at nature's beauty, or in my case, having the magical privilege of being a mother and raising my beautiful daughter...

Forever...(my girl)

Here is my new layout for DT Words & Paintery Challenge November

This gorgeous color palette is awesome to work with!
I hope you'll join us this month at the November Challenge

I wanted to combine the W&P color palette with a theme or a specific brand.

This month I used the theme 'leaves' from the November challenge at Scrapki-wyzwaniowo to create my background, and I used die cut leaves around my picture.

I was inspired to make my die cut leaves from 7 dots studio papers (Yuletide-Chestnut) with the gorgeous woodgrain pattern.
The theme for the October challenge at 7 Dots studio is 'wood grain texture'.

I didn't 'just' want to use the woodgrain paper as my background paper, I wanted to do something else with it. My thoughts were: Wood is made from a tree, a tree has leaves, so I die-cut my leaves from the woodgrain paper. I also stamped the butterflies on the woodgrain paper, and put a piece of the paper behind my picture.
I also used 7 Dots studio chipboard pieces 'Soulmates' , sprayed them white, cut them in half, and positioned them behind my flowers.

I would like to enter my layout for both challenges.

The making of my background was very simple: I used black cardstock, a leave patterned-stencil (12 x 12) and sprayed distress spray stain 'brushed pewter' on it here and there.

After it dried, I mixed mica powder 'teal' with light paste and used a stencil to apply it on the paper, where my picture was going to be positioned. Let it dry again.

Than positioned and glued down my (painted) chipboard pieces, photo and other embellishments, covered my photo and splattered with the distress spray stain, with the mica powder, and with some white ink. After that I added the pearls.

Moments...

I was asked to be guest designer at Berry71bleu and here is my new layout 'moments'.
The vintage moodboard is so very inspiring, I really loved it! I hope you'll join! You can find the challenge here

I used the November challenge from Creative Embellishments to double challenge myself.
I was inspired by the butterfly in the picture from the Creative Embellishments challenge, that's why I used little stamped, and cut out, butterflies in my layout.
The twist from this challenge was to use a flourish. I used the chipboard flourish frond set 1 which is so lovely and elegant, perfect for a vintage layout!
I would like to enter my layout for this challenge.

Here are some close up pictures:

The layout is made with beautiful papers from 7 Dots Studio, and I used mica powder (green opal magic) mixed with light paste, and a stencil (flowers) and applied it with my palette knife.

Mica powder and light paste has really become my thing these days!

After that I splattered dylusion spray (white linen), with a brush, and mica powder (rust) mixed with water, also with a brush. This created little white and dark brown drops on my background.

I painted the chipboard pieces with white gesso, and sprayed them also with dylusions spray (white linen) to make them more white.

After I applied my doily, some cheese cloth, frame and photo, chipboard pieces, vintage bronze branches (scrap unlimited) and some flowers, I added a little bit of glass beads (given by my sweet aunt from Amsterdam) and some glass glitter (copper). Last step I added my die-cut title (Sizzix, Tim Holtz), butterflies and a few pearls and voilà, finished!
