Layout 'Memories preserved' for Scrap around the World Challenge

  

Here is my new layout, based on the colorful moodboard for the october challenge at Scrap around the World

 

 

 

I was immediately inspired to use my gorgeous new mica powders from Finnabair. I just love mica powder, they are so versatile! On my layout I used them mixed with soft gloss gel to paint the chipboard pieces, and mixed with light paste, to create a textured background, in combination with a stencil.

 

I used all the colors from the moodboard, and my focus point was the picture below in the middle. My first idea was to use circles or round objects. I used chipboard, rinestones and pearls to let those circles come back in my creation.

 

The picture is from my daughter, it is a little bit dreamy, and blurry, but I love how her hair is messy in the wind, and how sweet she looks.....This picture is a sweet memory of a beautiful day we had, and that is something to be thankful for (the phrase in the moodboard) and that's why I used the title 'Memories preserved'.
